Korea Scam Check (“the Service”) is a free tool operated by an individual, Youngji Kim, in the Republic of Korea. By using the Service — through the website, the API, or a connected AI assistant (MCP) — you agree to these terms.
1. Guidance, not a guarantee
The Service provides a risk assessment, not a guarantee. It returns one of three verdicts — danger, caution, or no known threat — and never declares anything “safe.” A “no known threat” result does not mean a message, number, account, or link is safe; the police database, for example, only flags items reported multiple times recently. Always use your own judgment, and when in doubt, report to 112 (police) or 1332 (Financial Supervisory Service).
2. Not professional advice
The automated Service does not provide legal, financial, or investigative advice — it is an automated second opinion. If you contact us for human review, any help we provide is informal assistance offered in good faith. It is not legal, financial, or investigative advice, does not create an attorney–client or any other professional or advisory relationship, and comes with no guarantee of a response, timing, or outcome. Human review is offered as a limited preview and may change or pause at any time.
3. Acceptable use
Do not abuse, overload, or attempt to circumvent the rate limits of the Service, and do not use it to harass, profile, or harm any individual. Automated bulk use beyond the published rate limits is not permitted.
4. No warranty; limitation of liability
The Service is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for any loss or damage arising from use of, or reliance on, the Service or any human review.
5. Changes
These terms may be updated. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
6. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea.
